Presentation Skills
Presentation skills are key for most business professionals, whether it be for teaching, conference presentations, boardroom meetings or even your monthly staff meetings. Presenting well is imperative for being a memorable, inspiring and influential member of staff which will help improve your performance and relationships at work.
‘A speakers’ presentation should be interesting, captivating & vocally engaging.’
We offer courses specifically directed on what it is to deliver a good speech. How to keep your 'audience' engaged whilst still retaining the key facts of your presentation.
We look at relaxation techniques to eradicate performance nerves, posture to help remove bad physical habits or 'tics', intonation, pitch and tone to improve the performance side to your delivery. Basic acting techniques and rhetoric speech techniques used by politicians are used to aid in raising your confidence and belief in yourself as well as keeping your ‘audience’ hanging onto your every word.
The course includes the following sections:
Taking the space
Release of Tension
Vocal Production
Delivery of Text
Story Telling
Rhetoric Speech
Microphone Technique
The microphone technique section of the course is optional and focuses on the use of technical equipment alongside presentations. We look specifically at ensuring that if your presentation requires technical support that you do not become caught up with using the audio/visual equipment & run the risk of losing the essence of what you are saying.
Learning the technicalities of using a microphone to help and not hinder your presentational skills is necessary – looking at spatial relationship to the equipment, pop guard techniques, how to run your own sound check, etc. If you require the extra microphone technique section as part of the course Tempervox Ltd will happily provide the technical equipment if required.
